A Happy and Peaceful New Year to all Crannóggians

In 2025 let us:

Count our blessings instead of our crosses.

Count our gains instead of our losses.

Count our joys instead of our woes.

Count our friends instead of our foes.

Count our smiles instead of our tears.

Count our courage instead of our fears.

Count our full times instead of our lean.

Count our kind deeds instead of our mean.

Count our health instead of our wealth.

Love our neighbour as much as our self.

Be Our Light for the New Year

Come, Holy Spirit,
Spirit of the Risen Christ, be with us today and always.
Be our Light, our Guide, and our Comforter.
Be our Strength, our Courage, and our Sanctifier.
May this new year be a time of deep spiritual growth for us,
A time of welcoming your graces and gifts,
A time for forgiving freely and unconditionally,
A time for growing in virtue and goodness.
Come, Holy Spirit,
Be with us today and always.

  1. Thank you for your prayers Doddles,...Cressida wishes you and everyone a Happy Year. Enjoy these pics of our New Years Eve celebrations on Sydney Harbour. Evidently there were a million people watching from the shore lines. Public transport was free and doubled and NO I watched it on TV:)

Hmm, they certainly seem to have used some of the spookier chords! Has there been any analysis of those snail-like progression of symbols?

  3. I hate New Year, another year older, why celebrate that!!?

    1. Well, for one thing, another year older is way better than the alternative!

    2. Parky,
I rather agree! It's a random date, not really symbolic of anything much except the passing of time. Best wishes to you and yours.

  4. In the Lunar Calendar, 2025 is the year of the Wooden Snake.

It seems remarkably appropriate, given our current PM.
